When marketing a salon how can you capture your prospect or clients immediate attention and get them to eagerly read your sales promotion without hesitation?
I once went to the carnival with my wife in our little town of Yardley, PA where everyone knows your name. I kept hearing someone calling my name and I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Every two to three minutes I’d hear… “Over hear Glen.” Even though the voice was faint it still caught my attention every time.
Have you ever been out with family or friends and suddenly over heard someone using your name? Did you automatically think they were talking about you? Did your ears perk up suddenly as you whipped around to see who might be gossiping about you?
As my wife and I walked further into the carnival I was able to see a tent in the far corner with a man throwing baseballs at stuffed hens. Then the gentleman running the game shouted…”over here… fifty cents to hit the hens.” I thought I heard…”over here Glen” when in fact he wasn’t saying that at all.
It’s been proven that all humans love to hear and see their name. When marketing a salon if you want to grab the immediate attention of your prospects or clients use their name in your headline. Try something like…”Karen You’ve Won 30% Off Any of Our Salon Services.”
When you’re marketing a salon using your prospects or clients name in the headline, this simple strategy has proven to increase response by 5% to 33%. It works magnificently because it grabs your prospects immediate attention, and it sounds personal. As soon as your prospects or clients see their name in your promotion, they will instantly stop what they’re doing to read your promotion.
When marketing a salon getting your prospects or clients to read your offer is 50% of the battle. You can have an incredible promotion, but if it doesn’t capture your prospects or clients attention its game over.
Try it, I know it will increase your response.
