How Important Is your Beauty Salon Marketing Headline?

Beauty Salon Headlines

On a scale of 1 – 10 it’s a TEN!

When you read your local newspaper do you read every article? No, neither does anyone else. We all scan the headlines to determine whether or not we’ll read the entire article.

Why is it that so many people buy those cheezy magazines when shuffling through the check out lines at their local grocery store? It’s because of the “headlines.” When done properly the headline reaches out and grabs our attention. The headline peaks our curiosity and demands that we know more.

We’re all curious by nature.

It’s no accident the National Enquirer out performs all other newspapers and magazines. YES, you read that right. They out sell the New York Post, The Daily News, and even the Wall Street Journal.

The Enquirer understands that they have less than 6 seconds to grab your attention.  They also understand that they need to hook the customer into buying the magazine based on the headlines alone.

Next time you saunter through your grocery store check out line,  see if you don’t find yourself captivated by some of the headlines. I’ll bet you one hundred fungolus you can’t keep yourself from wondering… WOW, I’d sure like to know what Oprah’s best kept secrets are.  Let me know if you “cave in” and buy the magazine based on the headline?

Truth be known, when I started my first business many years back, I lacked the understanding of how powerful a headline could be. I made the mistake of using my company name along with my services as a headline. It looked like an over-sized business card. Once I understood the psychology of a headline and how powerful it could be to capture the attention of my perfect prospect, my business literally changed in weeks, NOT months or years.

If you’re using your beauty salon’s name in your headline – STOP!

Try a beauty salon marketing headline like… “How To Look and Feel 10 Years Younger Guaranteed” or “How To Stop The Aging Process Without Painful Surgery” or “Who Else Wants To Look Like A Run Way Super Model In Less Than 60 Minutes a Month”

Can you see the difference? A beauty salon marketing headline should state the benefits to your potential prospect. The headlines sole purpose is to capture the attention of your perfect prospect and make them want to know more. The purpose of the headline is NOT to attract everyone. The purpose of your headline is to attract only those prospects willing to exchange capital for your services.

Using the name of your beauty salon in your headline is a COSTLY mistake.

Once you understand how to write a compelling beauty salon marketing headline you’ll never worry about competition again. This one beauty salon marketing strategy will also separate you from your competitors and give you a competitive advantage in your market. Give it a try and see for yourself.
